I’m not sure if I like quiche better for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Quiche is great because you can throw in whatever you have in the fridge! This combination is one of our favourites, but feel free to use what you love….no meat, extra cheese, extra veggies….go nuts!
Lately we have been drawn to mini-sized serving dishes. They seem to add a nice touch when plating/ presenting the meals. We recently bought ceramic mini dutch ovens and I wanted to make something, so I decided to make breakfast. I used to enjoy waking up and finding a big hearty breakfast with eggs, sausage and potatoes that my Dad would sometimes make on weekends. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals, but I am far from a morning person so I usually just make breakfast on the weekend. It’s become a Sunday morning thing for us to wake up and make a fancy breakfast. I’m usually inspired by something I read or see during the week. This week I have been craving pancakes, which started when I saw something on TV about using whipped egg whites in pancake batter to make it fluffier. I was brain storming ideas for ingredients I could add to transform regular pancakes to amazing pancakes when Carly started talking about blueberries. I needed something else to make them fancier than just blueberry pancakes, so I went through the fridge and found some Greek Vanilla yogurt. Sounded fancy to me. Turned out to be a great addition because they were some of the best pancakes that I have ever had. Continue reading
